This is a review of the Rover 216 GTi from Autocar magazine dated December 12th, 1990. The reviewer considers it to be a better car than the MKII Golf GTi on several points. He praises the "sweet spinning" 1.6 litre Honda D16A9 twincam engine, but calls the engine note "rather dull" which is surprising. Certainly with a cone filter induction kit the engine soundtrack is one of this the best things about this car.
